SUNSET SONG

Some reviews said this was too gentle, and had toned down more of the rough material from the novel. I haven't read the novel so cannot say. But I didn't find this movie very toned down. Seemed pretty rough as-is. The father in this Scottish family drama is a real vicious piece of work. Life was not kind to these farming folk, that is for sure.
