A BIGGER SPLASH

Great movie in all aspects. I loved the direction, especially little details like the old-fashioned fast panning and seemingly accelerated motion by the camera, as if it's dancing not only around the characters but the Mediterranean island in which the story takes place. There's not much to the plot, it's the ennui of vacation of the rich and famous, where there's not a care in the world, except some deep-seated ones. The music was great, including the original score (if it was indeed original, not sure.. felt very Italian Cinema 1960s, but I think that was the point). All the acting was great, especially Fiennes and Swinton, at the top of their form.

SCORE: 90.
