LOUDER THAN BOMBS

This is one of those dramas where someone has died, and the rest of the characters are still going through the varying Kubler-Ross stages of grief, or, worse, they're stuck on one stage. It's not a particularly nice family. Everyone lies in one way or another. And, casting-wise, they sure didn't do anything to make these various actors and actresses look like they were at all related. The movie has the quiet, funereal mood of much of that 1999 Harrison Ford vehicle, RANDOM HEARTS, a much better film helmed by a much better director. By the time the generally super-quiet LOUDER THAN BOMBS movie was over, I have to say, I was glad it was over.

SCORE: 49.
