THE ASSASSIN

Chinese period drama with female assassin who occasionally does her business in action sequences suspended from invisible cables. The effect was such a wonder in earlier films like CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON but now seems like an overused special effect. Movie was okay but nothing major. SCORE: 50.
