THE INFILTRATOR

The casting of Bryan Cranston no doubt made sense to the studio, given his popularity from the BREAKING BAD television series. But he seemed way too old to play the character in this film, given this is based on a true story. The real character would have been in his thirties, and Cranston is, well, that leathery map of a face tells a story. Be that as it may, the movie was okay. It ended on what felt like a numbed crescendo: all the visual appearances were there that this was the big climactic scene, but after the slow buildup, it just didn't come together as I'd hoped.

SCORE: 55.
