FREE STATE OF JONES |
It's interesting in that it covers a little-known aspect of the Civil War: some counties in the deep south rebel against the Confederate Army, establishing themselves as an independent area. Then the war ends, and they discover the disaster of the Restoration. Things just go from bad to worse. Along the way, we get a nice series of pro-gun scenes, with brand names even mentioned. (Product placement?) In the end it felt like there were many scenes deleted, or aspects of the true story that were intentionally left out, because things felt incomplete.
