Kind of dated, 60s black-and-white version of the most Shakespeare non-Shakespeare script Shakespeare never wrote. Basically, segments lifted from various plays that featured Falstaff. Orson Welles is literally larger than life in every black-and-white crisp, grimy, drunken, cheery way. The battle scenes drag on, but the movie eventually wraps up as one would expect. The kind of must-see movie you kind of have to see, and then you've seen it, and you don't need to see it anymore. Which is good.
